Making wheelchairs from bicycle parts
Nalukah Jayah, whose family lives in a
shack in Colombo, was three
when she was paralyzed by polio.
At sixteen, she received her first wheelchair from the
bicycle project,
and went to her first day of school.
Twenty-five million people around the world cannot use their
legs,
and have no access to wheels.
