Anti-Terrorist Training for Passengers
Airflight passengers participated in a "Defensive Flying" training by Flight Watch
to "prepare travelers to take appropriate action to assist flight crews
when called upon to do so in an emergency."
Flight Watch President, Don Detrich, says, "The training focuses on what passengers
can do and what passengers cannot do.
We look at past emergencies and to those responses that were appropriate
and those that were not."
The training for passengers takes place in classes and then with
simulated emergencies on a Boeing 747 replica.
